Situated in the beautiful Ovens Valley, Bright is an excellent base for exploring the nearby winter playgrounds of Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek. Follow the Great Alpine Road from your Bright Avenue Motor Inn motel accommodation all the way up the mountain to the ski-lift. The scenery alone is worth the trip, and once you are there you will be richly rewarded by Victoria’s premier snowfields. Ask our friendly staff for what information can be provided about current ski and road conditions to ensure your safe arrival on the Ski fields.

With Winter waning and Spring urgent to arrive everything is coming to life again after winter slumber with Bright and the Ovens Valley becoming a canvas of blossoms in many shades of pink and the beautiful displays of bright yellow daffodils as other bulbs in blues, reds, oranges and yellows start to emerge. Locals proudly open their garden gates to boast their colourful bounty. Snow fed creeks and rivers roar and the skies overhead are a brilliant blue. Aerial sports and taking on the rapids seem highly inviting even to the fainthearted! And, just like autumn, festivals and events abound. The Bright Spring Festival (www.brightspringfestival.com.au) is a highlight of the season.

A gourmet picnic of lazy days and shady rivers. Catching fresh trout in an alpine stream and sipping the great wines of the alpine valleys at a street side café. The heart of the gourmet district offers freshly picked berries, home-made ice creams, cheeses, wine, tantalizing sidewalk restaurants and cool evening breezes. The annual concert summer series hosted by the Rotary Club of Bright at the Sound Shell in Howitt Park make the evening BBQ even more enjoyable. Music and laughter resound as people of every age make the most of summer in Bright.

Spring is not the only time to stay in our motel accommodation; as the warmer weather of summer fades, Bright’s streets are set on fire. The Sweeping European trees of the town change their colours autumn and decorate the region in red, orange, and yellow leaves. This natural event is celebrated with a man made one each year at the Bright Autumn Festival (www.brightautumnfestival.com.au ) held the last week of April through to end of first week in May.

In fact the Bright Avenue Motor Inn motel style accommodation is an excellent place to stay all year round. Enjoy the cosy surrounds of our Luxury Bright accommodation as you curl up in front of one of our luxury fireplaces, relax in the spa or just take in some glorious mountain views. The Bright Avenue Motor Inn has a range of accommodation options to suit any season, taste and budget.
