Here's where you will find us at the Bright Avenue Motor Inn.

 

From Melbourne:
If arriving in Bright in the evening it is best to perhaps travel from Melbourne directly to the start of the Great Alpine Road (B500) in Wangaratta via the Hume Freeway.

If arriving in the afternoon you can turn off via Glenrowan (just past McDonalds -yuk) onto the Snow Road. The Snow Road ends just prior to Myrtleford joining the Great Alpine Road and is quite a pretty drive.

 

From NSW / Albury:
Driving through Albury on Freeway you take the first exit to Talangatta (B400) once you pass over the Murry River into Victoria. Follow this road through to the new Wodonga East Shopping Complex on the Baranduda Road. Turn Left and continue on until the signs indicating Mt Beauty and Ski Fields (C531), this road is called the Kiewa Valley Highway. Further along take the first turn to the right and head towards Yakandandah (C527). From Yakandanah you continue to Myrtleford.Turn Left at Myrtleford and onto Bright along the Great Alpine Road (B500).

Arriving in Bright:
When driving to Bright along the Great Alpine Road from Wangaratta or Myrtleford, the Great Alpine Road is the main Street that runs all the way through town. The first half of the Great Alpine Road is called Gavan St. You will pass Woolworths, through the roundabout, past Alpine Visitor Information Centre and over Morses Creek Bridge. Once you passover the bridge the Great Alpine Road is now called Delany Avenue. The Bright Avenue Motel is situated 900m past the bridge on the left handside (no 87 Delany Avenue). We have a big white sign with a green pine tree in it as per our photo listed upon our website.

When driving into Bright along the Great Alpine Road from Mt Hotham, Harrietville or Mt Beauty you enter Bright on Delany Avenue. The Bright Avenue Motel is situated 1 km after the first 60km speed reduction sign. Then 500m after the second 60km speed reduction sign. We are on the right hand side (no 87) Delany Avenue. We have a big white sign with a green pine tree in it as per our photo listed on the website.

Pull up on the concrete side closest to the sign and motel reception.
